How long 35mm film

Why waisting a roll of good stuff? Just measure it when it's processed. Film don't shrink in the process. Why does everyone roll 36's. You can get about 45 frames safely in a canister. Thats an extra roll! Also, If you have a changing bag, or a darkroom, do it in the dark and spare yourself 2 frames per roll. That gets you frames my way. If the film was stored away from high heat, in a dry area and properly exposed you're probably all right. In the past week my wife has processed about 30 rolls of 35mm film that was exposed 10 - 15 years ago. Most of the images came out good except for some that were very over exposed.

Always have your film processed soon after the roll is finished. My wife and I moved and forgot about an old SLR camera that got stored in a box. The images were very blue but I was able to scan the film, digitally color balance in photoshop, and they look good.

So you can definitely leave it laying about for a decade or two and still have some decent images. P hotography B oard.
