Can i make cupcakes with brownie mix

Rating: 4 stars. These are pretty quick and cheap to make and take heavenly! First time made according to the directions and the second time I chilled the brownie batter before scooping it into cupcaking batter and this yielded yummy gooey centers.

I love these cupcakes, I don't even bother to frost. These are terrific! I made them with red velvet cake mix and frosted them with homemade cream cheese frosting. Sooo good. They were fun to make and fun to eat. Brownies are my favorite dessert so I couldn't wait to try this recipe! I used a vanilla cake mix and the Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting as recommended by others-these cupcakes are exceptionally good! I didn't want the brownie to stick to the bottom as someone mentioned so I put a dollop of cake mix on the bottom then a tablespoon of brownie batter followed by another dollop of cake mix-maybe it was just me but it seemed a little time consuming.

Also I used a gas oven and maybe the cupcakes baked quicker but my brownie baked along with the cupcake so there was no 'gooey brownie' in the center. However I have not stopped eating them because they are so good! I used aluminum liners and my cupcakes did not stick and the peanut butter frosting is the best! I will definitely make these again!

LTH you've done it again! These rock! I frosted some with chocolate frosting some with peanut butter frosting Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting from this site and some I swirled with both kinds. Very very good. I love the little layer of gooey goodness in there. These turned out excellent I used orange cake mix over chocolate-lovers brownie mix.

Frosted them with a simple white frosting and they were very well received. I only broke my diet enough for one small bite how's that for will-power but very yummy ideed.

One unbelievable Cuppie! I used a yellow cake mix and the "Baker's One Bowl Brownie" recipe from this site I took the suggestion of one reviewer who said she chilled the brownie batter - makes all the difference in the world!

You get the ooey-gooey "almost" cooked through batter inside! Hats off to the Creator! You have created a cupcake monster in me now! Ever Servings Per Recipe: 48 Calories: Simply want to make cake-like brownies? Check out my previous article to learn how! We all know that brownies are much denser than cakes. If you closed your eyes and someone gave you a piece of chocolate cake and a bite of brownie, you would definitely know which was which based on texture alone.

Brownies are dense and chewy and cake is a little drier and softer in texture. You are probably looking for something lighter and fluffier. So we will need to make the brownie mix lighter and fluffier somehow. This means branching away from the instructions on the box and finding our own way! The instructions on the side of the brownie mix box are going to serve as the basis of our new cake recipe but we will take a few liberties from there.

The first thing that is noticeable when comparing brownie mix to cake mix is the quantity of fat. Brownie mix calls for much more fat to be added to the mix, which is one reason brownies are more dense than cakes.

So to make a brownie mix lighter, we need to cut or replace some of that fat. One way to easily do this is to use unsweetened applesauce rather than oil or butter. Applesauce will act in the same moisturizing way as oil but without the heaviness. So bye bye oil, hello applesauce. Adding eggs are going to help with the texture of the mix as well. Adding one more egg to your brownie mix with instantly make it less chewy and more cakey when baked.

So get out those eggs and if your box of brownie mix says to add one egg, go ahead and add two. The texture is getting more cakey already! If you prefer not to use eggs, you still have plenty of options! A teaspoon of baking powder is all you will need to take the brownies up to cake height. Adding baking powder will make the mix rise more as it bakes and make it much fluffier than any brownie. Add the baking powder to the dry ingredients of the box mix and whisk it together before adding the wet ingredients.

This will make sure you have no baking powder lumps in your batter. Do you know how to make brownies without eggs, oil, cocoa, or sugar? Let me show you how! Baking brownies and baking cake follow essentially the same rules. These brownies had a really good flavor but were too cakey for my liking. I guess I was hoping for something a little more dense and fudgy. Also this recipe yielded 24 cupcakes for me.

All in all it's a good recipe--quick and tasty but if you're wanting a dense chewy brownie this isn't it. These were pretty nice and I didn't really know what to expect - it was sort of a random recipe pick. I made it exactly as written with the butter being unsalted and the chocolate chips being semi-sweet.

They turned out to be just like the title brownies in a cupcake form. For brownies they were a little on the basic side though so I won't give this a full 5-stars but I managed to eat all 18 cupcakes in about 8 days and I liked them all. I'm thinking that maybe I should make these again share them and see what my friends think. Jennifer Rathmell. Simple and delicious. Made them for my son's preschool birthday snack. Dusted the tops with some 10X sugar. I actually made them two times-- the first time I baked them at the wrong temperature and they turned into hockey pucks!
