We liked the smaller and more affordable of the two because its options are true to its name—Essential—with time, weather, and day easily viewed at a glance across its 4. Our most affordable pick, the RCA has an easy-to-read display and a very loud alarm to wake even the deepest sleepers. The RCA is a basic unit, but it has all you really need in an alarm clock. If a big display keeps you up at night, know that the RCD30 does offer a dimmer setting.
